Mariano Rivera arrived at the Yankees spring training camp today after missing the first two days to be with his sick children.
New York’s ace closer says it’s getting tougher each year to leave his family for the start of the new season.
He said Thursday that “one of my kids, he was crying,” adding that he and his family have to “find a way to work it out and have that balance.”
Rivera agreed to a $30 million, two-year contract in December.
Note to Mo: Try leaving you family to go fight a war for a yearly salary equivalent to what you make in a WEEK!
