The newest Hall of Famer Goose Gossage believes that Joba Chamberlain belongs in the bull pen.
"He's invaluable as a reliever. His arrival last summer was the only reason they made the playoffs. Getting the ball to Mariano was their Achilles' heel, until Joba came up and filled the bill. There's nothing more exciting in this game than coming in with men on base, late in a tight game."
Chamberlain continues to take the diplomatic route on his situation by saying "It doesn't matter to me."
