Jim Leyritz was arrested today on a felony drunk driving charge in connection with an accident that left a second motorist dead.
Leyritz, 44, was driving a Ford SUV that slammed into another vehicle on a Ft. Lauderdale street. (Southwest 7th Ave and Second St)
The crash caused the second car to roll over, and the female driver was ejected. She later died of her injuries.
According to the Broward County Sheriff's Office , Leyritz (who declined a Breathalyzer test) was charged with two counts of drunken driving, including one count of DUI that causes death to a human.
