Tampa, FL -- (Sports Network) - The New York Yankees signed free agent pitcher Scott Erickson to a minor league contract on Thursday and invited the righty to spring training.
The 38-year-old Erickson spent the 2005 season with the Los Angeles Dodgers and posted a 1-4 record with a 6.02 ERA in 19 games (eight starts). The righty was effective out of the bullpen, compiling an 0-0 mark with a 3.24 ERA in 11 relief appearances.
