4:00 pm EST. Yankees announcer John Sterling on WFAN's Mike and the Mad Dog radio program says that his sources tell him that the Yankees and A-Rod have agreed to a contract.
Sterling said that his source said that "on a scale of 0-100, its at 101".

4:45 Update: Yankees COO Lonn Trost has confirmed that "A" did contact the Yankees and that they are talking. When asked if Scott Boras was a part of the discussion Trost refused to comment.
