While he signed autographs before Friday’s series opener against the Red Sox, Shelley Duncan wrote in the notebook of 10-year-old Griffin Whitman, “Red Sox Suck! Shelley Duncan.”
Duncan was surprised to learn that Whitman and his parents took offense.
DUNCAN QUOTE: “I thought I was back in middle school or high school, where you try to make a joke or say something funny, and you end up saying something that gets you in trouble. I try to be interactive with people, be funny, have a good time and have a laugh."
WHITMAN QUOTE: “It was cool to get his autograph. It didn’t make me feel happy when he wrote that.”
MOMS QUOTE: "This is someone who wears the Yankee uniform and is on the payroll and should be setting an example for 10-year-olds.”
A Yankee spokesman declined to comment until he got a chance to speak to Duncan.
HE SHOULD BE FINED AND SUSPENDED!

I think Dumb-kin should be forced to sing and bat ball and shirt properly and give it to the kid.
To quote Forrest Gump:
