BACK TO SCHOOL FOR BROSIUS


Yankees world series MVP Scott Brosius has been named to succeed Scott Carnahan as head baseball coach at Linfield College. Brosius will take over the program from his former college coach on July 1st, 2007.
Brosius, 40, has served under Carnahan on the baseball coaching staff for five seasons.

In three seasons at Linfield, Brosius hit .332 with 14 home runs and 77 runs batted in. During his junior season in 1987, he hit .348 and set Linfield single-season records for most at-bats, hits and RBI.

He left Linfield following his junior year after being selected by Oakland in the 20th round of the 1987 amateur draft.

I wish the guy the best. I remember the great things he did, but I also remember his snafu in game 7 of the 2001 World Series. He retired after that, so Mo got all the blame. Anyhow,
