The Seibu Lions on Friday announced the acquisition of left-handed pitcher Alex Graman, who had playing time with the New York Yankees over the past two years.
The 28-year-old Graman has signed a one-year contract worth 50 million yen and is scheduled to come to Japan in late January.
Graman made his major league debut with the Yankees in 2004 and was 0-0 with no saves and an 18.47 ERA in five games the past two seasons.
